Re-ment Hamtaro Room

 Dear Readers,

A few months ago I found out Re-ment had released a collection about Hamtaro.  The hamster character was from a cute Japanese manga and anime.

The Re-ment set is called "Hamtaro Room" and featured 8 sets of miniatures, including a fridge, a bed, and numerous little house and food items.

It was just too cute to pass so I got it as soon as I could and displayed them in the Fairy Treehouse from Playmobil.

But the treehouse was a little small so I tried to fit them in the Li'l Woodzeez Acorn Treehouse.  This one has a light on the first floor and next to the front door.

The Acorn Treehouse came with its own set of furniture and accessories.  I love the leaf chairs and table!  But the cups and small accessories are too big for the Hamtaro figures.

It's not really a problem because the Re-ment box came with their own cups and food items!

I think the Re-ment Hamtaro Room could possible fit in different dollhouses as well like the ones from Playmobil or Calico Critters (Sylvanian Families).

What do you think about this miniature collection?

Lori OG Loft with Japanese furniture

Dear Readers,

Do you remember my Lori OG Loft dollhouse?  I liked the modern feel it has but I wanted to give it a different look with other types of furniture.

The dollhouse fits best with 5-6 inches dolls and 1:8 scale miniature so I used pieces from Re-ment and futon beds from Azone Pure Neemo.

It was a fun project to do and although it seems strange to pair a western-style modern house with traditional Japanese furniture, I like the juxtaposed effect.

I took pictures with my two new dolls, Usaggie and Kumabolo made by Petworks (the same company that makes Momoko dolls).  I will tell you more about them in my next blog post.

Note: you can buy the Lori Loft at Target for about $50 USD or even cheaper if there is a sale.  I noticed some sellers on Amazon and Ebay trying to sell it for 3 times that price and using (without my permission) the pictures I took and posted previously on my blog (>_<)

Sylvanian Families Grandparent Rabbits

Dear Readers,

First, I would like to say a big thank you for all your kind comments and comforting emails.  They warmed my heart and made me think a lot about how wonderful life can be and the power of friendship and love :)

I am slowly getting back into writing on my blog again because it is something that makes me happy and I know that the connections I have with people in the blogging world have made me a better person.  I learn new things everyday thanks to you! ♥

My sweet friend Ohana from GoGoGoHawaii sent me this fantastic couple of Sylvanian Families Grandparent Rabbits.  They are only available in Japan so I would never have been able to get them without her help!  Thank you Ohana!!! ♥

Don't you think they look cute!  I really like the grandpa's moustache ^_^

I like my kids to have toys that remind them of their elders so I totally had to get the Sylvanian grandparent figures. I didn't take them out of the box because my daughter is still too young to play with them. The last time one of my critters got into her hands, it lost a few whiskers.  So I'll wait for her to be a little older to be able to play with them without causing too much damages.

Here below is a picture of what they would look like outside the box.

The grandpa has a navy uniform, probably because he is the captain of a ship.  After looking on the Japanese Amazon website, I found the ship in question.

Here below is the ship right next to the Seaside Restaurant!

Don't you just love the Sylvanian Families toys?  I sure hope these new sets will be available in the Calico Critters line!  I already have the Canal Boat so I shouldn't ask for too much but another boat would be awesome!
