Mini Lalaloopsy Sugar and Spice 8-pack

Remember when I blogged about my Mini Lalaloopsy Candy Cute Collection from Series 9?  And I was fretting about not being able to get the discontinued Sugar and Spice Collection from Series 8?  Well get your wallet ready because THEY ARE BACK!

Just like they did for the Classroom Picture 8-pack and the Fairy Tales 8-pack, MGM Entertainement is now releasing a Sugar and Spice 8-pack consisting of the following Mini Dolls with their pets (but not the accessories that were featured in their single release).   The online link refers to the pack as Sugar and Spice 8-pack but the words "Sweet Bakery" is printed on the box.
  1. Bun Bun Sticky Icing
  2. Jelly Wiggle Jiggle
  3. Cherry Crisp Crust
  4. Scoops Waffle Cone
  5. Bubbles Smack 'N' Pop
  6. Toasty Sweet Fluff
  7. Sugar Fruit Drops
  8. Twist E. Twirls
Although not sold individually in their darling little houses but rather in an 8-pack special exclusive by Toys R Us, I knew this was my last change to finally get Bun Bun Sticky Icing, Jelly Wiggle Jiggle, Cherry Crisp Crust and Scoops Waffle Cone (I wonder who came up with such funny names!)

Even though I already purchased half of the dolls in that special 8-pack, I didn't want to miss out on my last chance to get the 4 other dolls at a reasonable price!  So I bought the 8-pack anyway and I'll probably either give away my duplicate dolls... or use them as bait for a custom project ^_^

But good lucking buying them in store... I had to buy them online because I could not find one single box in-store!

I really like that MGM Entertainment are giving customers a chance to buy them again although I wished they would have re-issued the individual packs so I could get the accessories as well.  What can I say, I just love miniature cooking items!

Speaking of miniature, today is the last day to enter my Takoyaki Giveaway!

Have a great week everybody!

Alice in Lalaloopsy Land

Alice in Lalaloopsy Land is probably my favorite Mini Lalaloopsy doll.  I love setting up photoshoots with her and my miniature.  And this is what happens after I read "Through the looking-glass" by Lewis Carroll...

The lion and the unicorn
Were fighting for the crown
The lion beat the unicorn
All around the town.

Some gave them white bread,
And some gave them brown;
Some gave them plum cake
And drummed them out of town.

'Feather! Feather!' the Sheep cried again, taking more needles.
'You'll be catching a crab directly.'

There is no reason or excuse for this.  Just having fun :P

Have a pleasant weekend!

Orcara - Street Snacks and Giveaway

Today I will be showing you another Orcara Miniature Collection: The Snack Shops / Street Snacks Collection!   It has many items that are popular street food in East Asia.  As usual, they are highly details and have all kind of cool inserts you can remove from the containers.

Bubble Tea
If you haven't tried Bubble Tea or Tapioca Tea, you should! It's so yummy!

Fruit Smoothie

BBQ Skewers

Hot Dogs

Soda Dispenser

Popcorn Machine

Beef Offal
I am not a fan of beef tripe so I'll pass on this LOL

Takoyaki
I was super excited to get this set because takoyaki is one of my favorite Japanese snack food!  It's basically little chunks of octopus in a ball of dough (chewy in the inside, crunchy on the outside).

This is also the GIVEAWAY PRIZE!!!

This is what a full-size takoyaki pan looks like (it's my own).

A few months ago, I posted on Instagram the first batch of takoyaki I made with that pan :)  It turned out just fine and super yummy delicious!

If you have never tried Takoyaki, you are missing out!  It's seriously the most awesome street food ever!  If you want to learn how to make them, you can rely on the very instructive video below  :)   They show the right ingredients and steps.  Or you can do like me and save a few steps by buying an already prepared batter!

To win the miniature Orcara miniature tayokaki set, please follow my blog and leave a comment to this post.  You can link this post in your blog but it's not necessary.

The photo I show you above is my own open set but the winner will receive a brand new set within the sealed bag.   The deadline is September 30th, 2013 at midnight CET.

Good luck to everybody :)

EDIT: THE GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED! THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING!

Little Pullip/Dal/Taeyang Alice Romantic Collection

Groove did it again.   I promised myself to not buy any more Little Dal dolls because I have so darn many at this point.  But they just released a new collection that is making my resolve melt away.  The new collection are miniatures of the full-size dolls from the Alice Romantic Serie.

Little Pullip Romantic Alice (which I already blogged about in this post)

Little Taeyang Mad Hatter (which I already blogged about in this post)

And I didn't know that they made a...

Litte Dal Romantic White Rabbit
(photos are from Amazon.com)

Isn't she gorgeous (albeit her eyes are slightly scary)?  I LOVE her pink hair and fuzzy outfit!  The full-size doll version looks like THIS by the way.

I am trying to not think about it... well at least until Christmas.  I just hope the price won't go up until then!  Maybe I won't be interested in buying them anymore in a few months.... (AS IF!).

And the winner is...

I would like to thank you everybody for participating in my miniature giveaway!  Welcome to my new followers and thank you to my regular followers for commenting :)  I wished I could give to each of you the prize but there can be only one winner... and it is:

*** DRORA from Drora's Minimundo ***

Congratulations Drora, you win the Orcara miniature meal below!
Please email me your address at mabebecherie@gmail.com.

My nephews are always excited to have the right to draw the name out and it was Ben who did it this time :) I had planned to make a nice photoshoot of the name draw but because of my home being flooded, it was impossible to do.

I had quite a busy weekend due to my living room being flooded after a thunderstorm that lasted all night.  Usually I don't have such a problem unless it rains all night which it did this time.

So hubby had to move all the furniture from the living room into the other rooms and I had to empty all my bookshelves, craft table and toy area.  The floor didn't sustain too much damage so we didn't have to make any repairs inside ... the outside is another story.  We'll have to pour some cement to secure the place from future flooding.

But on the upside, I had the opportunity to re-organize my shelves and while it wasn't planned, it was still a welcomed activity!  I couldn't take any pictures or write on my blog because of this but oh well, it is a good preparation for my future projects :)

I will post about another miniature giveaway this week!  So if you didn't win this time, you might have a chance again.  The next giveaway is another Orcara miniature but the theme will be Japanese :)

Have a good week everybody!

Storage for Little Dal Dolls

It has been a difficult week for me.  Not much sleep due to my cold and struggling to finish my tasks at work.  I am happy it's Friday!  But there is really no rest for me as it will be a busy weekend: dance practice, birthday party, organizing fall clothes...and it goes on.  But it's good to stay home with my kids and spend time with them anyway!  I haven't been able to complete many projects I had planned for my dolls but I did find a storage box for my Little Dal Dolls!

I have been looking for a box to store my Little Dal dolls so they won't get dusty.   I don't like to store my dolls in plastic containers because I noticed they pick up a musty and chemical scent when I leave them in there.   So I looked for a wood container and I found this darling little drawer chest at Michael's Craft Store.  It was only $2 dollars after I used the store's weekly 40% coupon!

Lady Vixy and Princess Tulip: "You want us to do what?"
Lady Vixy: "It's OK, it's not going to be forever! She'll take you out soon!"
Princess Tulip: "I feel like Jessie in Toy Story!"
Princess Tulip fits just right!
It can fit two dolls.
And you can store the little hats and clothes in the upper compartments.

I  plan on decorating/painting the box eventually but that will be for another time :)

I hope I will feel better soon and the cooler weather is already helping!  don't know about you but I look forward to the cold season! I love September and to make it even better, there are so many giveaway contests this month:

Halloween giveaway at MijBil Creatures
Miniature giveaway at Villa Pulgarcito
Fabric giveaway at Sarah Jane Studios
Beautiful handmade hare at Millefeuilles

And don't forget there is still time to enter my Orcara Miniature Giveaway :)

Have a great weekend y'all!

Orcara - Story of Cakes

I am very excited to show you today the The Story of Cakes Miniature Collection from Orcara! Of all the Orcara miniature collection, it is my favorite.   I think it's probably because I am biased toward sweets and cakes but truly these are beautiful miniatures.

Front cover of the individual box

Back cover of the individual box

Complete Set Box

Now to the miniature cakes.  They look AMAZING!   Each set is so detailed and the colors, texture, and accompanying containers and cake stands are beautiful and well made!

Heart Cookie Cake

Citrus Strawberry

Ice Cream Dessert

Chocolate & Pocky

Valentine Delicacy

Fancy Chocolates

Fresh Fruit Cocktail

Fruit of the Forest

I can't get over how cute and beautiful these miniatures are! I wanted to show this to you for quite some time but I had to wait for some Barbie furniture in order to showcase the cakes properly!  Here below is the Barbie Bake Shop and Cafe.  I didn't add any other miniature except the Orcara cakes so you can see what it looks like in a bakery setting.

And here below are my Licca dolls in the bake shop.  They are only 9 inches tall so barbie dolls at 11 inches tall would tower over the yellow top counter.   But I like my little girls here because they are supposed to be children anyway so their size is appropriate for Barbie furniture.

Don't you think the cakes look so beautiful displayed in a bake shop?
