Mini Addictions Party Food Giveaway!

Dear Readers,

Something fabulous happened to me last week!  I won the miniature Party Food Giveaway from Lisa T's Mini Addictions!!!  Lisa T. is a really talented miniaturist and her blog MINI ADDICTIONS is truly inspiring!  I have been following her for a while now and her posts are always interesting to read and very informative.

Here below is a photo of the prize.  I am using her photo because it is so much clearer than the ones I took!  If you post this picture somewhere, please make sure to credit her!

Photo Credit: Lisa T's Mini Addictions

I was so surprised because I rarely win anything at all!  This set is so well made!

Everything looks incredibly real!  Even my relatives, who are usually not interested in my miniature hobby, were in awe when they saw this food set displayed in my cabinet.  They were all asking how it was possible for somebody to create this!

And Lisa was even more generous and sent me the most adorable napkins held by a metal ring, a complete cutlery set, a candle jar and a super cute mini horse!!!

Here below they are displayed on the table in my mini kitchen.  The two blue plates are the only items on the table that aren't from Lisa.  I am not showing all the napkins and cutlery set that I received because the table was set for two people only.

To give you a comparison view of the scale, I have added two Momoko Dolls to the scene.  Momoko are articulated fashion dolls from Japan and they are a little smaller than a Barbie doll.  They fit well in this display and the food set is perfectly scaled for them!

I will show you in another post more pictures of the mini kitchen and I will write in further detail about my new Momoko dolls as well.

Thank you so much Lisa for giving me the opportunity to own such a beautiful miniature set!  I hope you will get recognition for your amazing miniature work!

Re-ment Japanese Curry Giveaway

Dear Readers,

It's been a while since I have updated my blog.  I was going to post the Re-ment giveaway in November but so many things kept me away from blogging.   I won't bore you with the details but it has been a difficult time for me.  When I don't feel well, I can't blog at all so I had to wait until the right time comes again.

So without making you wait any further, here is my Re-ment giveaway: the Japanese Curry Dinner from the collection "What's for Dinner?".  It is sealed its original plastic package but the box has been opened (otherwise I won't be able to see what is inside!).  It includes all the miniature items you see in the photo below.

I mentioned this set in one of my previous post here.  It's a really great set and with good details so I would like to offer it to one of my follower.

To enter the giveaway:

1.  Be one of my follower via Google Join
2. Leave a comment below

I ship internationally and will take care of the shipping fee so you don't have to worry about that.

Deadline is next Friday at 12pm CET.  I will announce the winner on the next Saturday.

Giveaway Winner and ....

Dear Readers,

The winner of the Calico Critters Cooking Set is: PAIGE LEEANN!!!

Congrats Paige!!!  Please email me your address to mabebecherie @ gmail dot com :)

The winner has been chosen by using Random.org.  I listed all the names and the website randomly chose one name.   I don't know how to link this result from Random.org into my blog.  If anybody knows how, please tell me so I can include it in my next draw!  You can email me if you have detailed instructions or show me another random generator!

If you didn't win, don't worry, there are more chances... starting from today.

I am giving this second prize because the final scores for the DALICIOUS Photo Contest have been announced! My final score lands me in 8th place over 28 contestants!  Woohoo!

I didn't win any doll but I consider my 8th place as a personal achievement.   I also feel that I have won much more than a free doll by participating in this contest.  I have met wonderful people and I have also learned quite a lot about photography and staging pictures!  And I feel very grateful to have received encouragements and advice from all of you!

To mark this joyous occasion, I would like to offer a Little Pullip Princess Rosalind doll to one of my blog follower.  This giveaway is open to everybody who follows my blog.  If you look on the right-hand side, there is a place you can click on "Join" and that will automatically adds you to my followers list.

I ship internationally and I take care of the shipping fee so you don't have to worry about that.

Deadline is next Saturday November 15th, 2014 at 9 pm CET.  I will announce the winner that same night or on Sunday.

So the requirements to enter the giveaway is:
  1. Follow my blog
  2. Leave a comment in the comment section below
Here are some pictures of the beautiful Princess Rosalind.   She is about 5 inches tall and wears a very elaborate dress.  Her hair is gorgeous!

EDIT: She is an exact miniature replica of the full size Pullip Princess Rosalind.  This is the small version so her body is a little bit like LPS Blythe and Little Dal dolls.

Isn't she a beauty?   I am partial to Pullip and Dal dolls but it's not the case with everybody so if you don't like these dolls, you can participate in the next giveaway which will be a Re-ment miniature set. To be announced in a few days!

Good luck everybody!

Sylvanian Families Kitchen Cooking Set

Dear Readers,

I would like to show you in detail the Sylvanian Families Kitchen Cooking Set that I am giving away to one of my dear readers. This set makes a wonderful addition to either a home kitchen or a restaurant. I have displayed the items on a typical kitchen set from Calico Critters.

Included in the set are :

  • 1 kettle with lid
  • 1 pot with lid and stew
  • 1 pan with lid and 6 ravioli pieces
  • 1 skillet with omelette
  • 1 oven tray with 2 rectangular bread (or fish cakes?)
  • 1 oven tray with 5 round biscuits
  • 1 plate with pasta and tomato sauce
  • 1 flour canister with a lid
  • 1 salt shaker
  • 1 pepper shaker
  • 1 pair of oven mitts
  • 1 spatula
  • 1 ladle
  • 1 kitchen thongs

But strangely, I cannot find the 6 ravioli pieces anymore!  I don't know what happened to them... Maybe one of my critter ate them all ^_^

All the lid and food items are removable which increases the possibilities of display.   I really like the soft green color of the pot, pan and kettle.   They look very similar to the life-size enamel cooking ware!  The word "COOKING" is engraved on the lid of the pot and pan.  I think that is a really nice design and gives the cooking ware a "real" look.

The scale is about 1:12.  It is made for the Sylvanian Families/Calico Critters but it will also fit small dolls that are 4 to 5 inches tall.

My Littlest Pet Shop Blythe doll has nicely accepted to model the oven mitt for you to see.  She is a newcomer in my dolly world and I'll post more about her and her friends soon.

Little Dal Humpty Dumpty wasn't to happy though.  She wasn't impressed by the set.  Especially the omelette ^_^.

Another type of doll that fits well with this set is a Mimiworld doll!

The set that I will send to the winner of the giveaway will be in a brand new sealed package.

And you'll be sure to receive the 6 ravioli pieces that I was missing in my set!  You can enter the giveaway by leaving a comment in my post HERE or by leaving a comment in this post as well.  This giveaway is open to my present blog readers only to thank them for their continuous support!  Other prizes will be posted next week and it will be open to existing and new readers.   The participation period ends on Saturday 8th November 2014 at 9pm CET.   I will announced the winner that night (if I am still awake, if not, I'll announce on Sunday!).

I was going to post a review of this set on the Sylvanian Families Forum but since it is missing pieces, I'll have to find another item to review.  Don't forget you can still have a chance to win a cute fridge (donated by the generous Mariana  from Sugarbush Valley: an Ideal Life) if you submit a review in the REVIEW SECTION of the Sylvanian Families Forum!  Closing date 23 November 2014.  Good luck everybody!

Disclaimer: All opinions are my own. I was not paid or received gifts to write this or mention any stores or website. You may find a better store in your area.

Thank You Dear Friends!

Dear Readers,

October was fun but I am happy we are now in November.  Thanksgiving is a few weeks away but I think giving thanks for one day only is not enough because I have much to feel grateful for.

I will blog more about it during the course of this month but I want to start by saying a big thank you to all my readers who have being so patient with me during the Dalicious Photo Contest.  Your comments and advice have been such a boost to my resolve to complete the challenges!

I would like to offer to you, my dear readers, a few giveaways this month to thank you for your support and friendship.

The first one is a Sylvanian Families (aka Calico Critters) Cooking Set!   Like all the miniature items from that brand, they are highly detailed and of good quality.   Included in this set are all the items you see in the picture below.  The scale is about 1:12 and I will write a detailed review soon.  I have one set already and I absolutely love it!  You will receive a new and un-opened sealed set.

To enter the giveaway, just write in the comment section that you would like to participate.  This is opened to all my existing readers.   I ship internationally and will take care of the shipping fee. I will draw a name on Saturday November 8th.

More prizes will follow during this month.  I won't tell you what they are now but let's just say that there will be dolls, doll clothes, and many types of dollhouse miniature like Re-ment and Megahouse.  The following giveaways will be opened to existing and new followers.   Have a great month of November everybody!

Aranera's Giveaway!

Dear Readers,

I am back from vacation!  It was a good little trip and I enjoyed the time off although we nearly went home after the first night because baby didn't sleep and was crying much of the night.   Our hotel room was spacious and super clean but it was her first time sleeping outside the house so she was not used to being in a strange place and kept asking to go back home.  But we decided to stay and she did sleep better the second night.

Dolphins sighting!
I didn't take many pictures because my hands were always oily with sunscreen or full of sand.  I was also with baby the whole time and it was basically impossible to do anything without her.   I took a few dolls with me hoping that I could take photos of them on the beach but I found myself reluctant to do anything about dollies while on location.  All in all, it was a great little vacation and I would definitely come back next year.
View from under the canopy!
Now that I am back, everything seems rushed compared to the lazy beach schedule.  My boy has his teacher meeting this afternoon and he will start class next Monday.  At work, files are piling up on my desk and at home I cooked everyday so my family could eat healthy again after a vacation's diet of restaurant food!  Busy busy busy!

But it was fun to be back to the routine and to blogland.  I realized I am missing a lot of Sylvanian Website links on my follow list.  I have to sit down one day to add them all so I stop missing on their updates!

Thanks to many of my fellow bloggers, I did catch Aranera's Evergreen Village Sylvanian Families Fansite!  I promptly added her to my follow list and I would like to share with you her Giveaway Post!  The Giveaway is really fabulous with tons of miniature clay cakes, pudding, cups, etc.

Aranera is a Sylvanian Collector and she writes stories about her Sylvanian Families.  It's a beautiful fansite and her pictures are exquisite!   Even if you are not into the whole Sylvanian thing, it's really a fun website to follow because of her adorable stories!

I will look forward to Saturday and Sunday to catch my breath and plan my next blog post.  I wish you all good weekend!

March Giveaways in Blog Land

Dear Readers,

How are you doing?  Can you believe February is almost coming to an end???  The start of the year went by so fast!

There are many great things about March.  I love that month because it is definitely warmer but not too hot.  It is also a pleasure to admire the tree blossoms and the revival of nature.  I love peach and orange blossoms the most and looking at them fills my heart with so much joy.

In Blog Land, there are also many exciting things happening.   Projects are getting started, people are setting up meetings, there are many new dolls and movies...  It's like everybody has woken up from their winter slumber.

I noticed a few giveaways too and I am showing them to you so you can get a chance to win some awesome prizes :)

The first one is at PlushPussyCat!  It's Jennifer 3-year blog anniversary is she is giving a lovely  miniature cake set!  Jennifer is the first miniature blogger I followed and thanks to her, I discovered a  whole new world and many talented bloggers!  You have until March 13th to enter!

Another giveaway is from Mini Addictions!  Lisa is a very talented miniaturist and she has prepared two different Supplies Kit: you can win either a Polymer Clay Kit or a Sewing Supplies Kit!  That's a wonderful idea for a giveaway!  You have until March 7th to enter this Giveway.

The last but not least giveaway is from Meritan Nukkis!  If you like miniature, this blog shows many handmade cute items!  When she will reach 75 followers, she will give this beautiful desk set :

Thanksgiving Giveaway

Hello Lovely Readers!

Are you ready for a Thanksgiving Giveaway?  I call it Thanksgiving because this holiday just happens to be this week and I want to give something fun to one of my dear Reader!  But I could also call it a Christmas Giveaway because it is a very Christmassy item....

Can you guess yet?

Hehehe, it's the Mini Lalaloopsy Holly Sleighbells from last winter!  She was apparently sewn on December 1st from a Real Elf's costume!  You can't get any closer to Christmas than that :P

When I saw this doll in store a year ago, I bought two of them because I thought she was so cute that I would certainly need an extra one to give to somebody!  Well the time has come and here she is ready to find a new home!  There is another version of her in a pink dress which is quite cute but I like this version too because she comes with a sleigh and her pink winter coat is adorable!

So one lucky lucky winner will get this adorable little doll with all her acccessories!

She comes in a box shaped like a snow globe!  Her accessories are: a sleigh, her pet reindeer, a red bag and a popsicle partially bitten!

To participate, please:

1) follow my blog by Joining this site with the Google Friend Connect link on the sidebar
2) write a comment in this post

You can also link my post on your blog but it's not necessary!  You may use the picture I have posted above to add the image to your blog post or sidebar!

Since her birthday is December 1st, I will announce the winner on that day!  So you have until Saturday, November 30th to enter the giveaway!

I will pick randomly one winner on December 1st and ship it to that person.   I pay the postage fees so you don't have to worry about that but you are responsible for any tax or custom fees from your country!

I hope you will like this giveaway and that she will be worthy enough of your attention!  Maybe some of you have never owned a Mini Lalaloopsy doll before and this would be a great chance to try one out for free!

Good luck to everybody :)

Early Christmas Giveaway

Did you all have a good Halloween night?  It stopped raining cats and dogs here so we were able to take the kids out.  My boy was dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi and toward the middle of our trick and treating route, I was carrying his sword and cape on one arm and carrying baby on my other arm.  Note to self for next year: no heavy costume or extra objects that kiddo won't want to carry around!

Now that we are past the Halloween frenzy, I can finally indulge in posting about my favorite holiday of the year: CHRISTMAS!!!  I didn't want to spoil the Halloween fun so I waited until the end of October to do so.

To start off the month, I am doing a little giveaway.  Since the majority of my readers have voiced their preference for a 1:12 miniature item, I have chosen a Christmas baking buttons set.  I found it at Michael's Craft Store in the Christmas section!  It's really tiny and has a loop in the back of each piece.  I like the possibility of using them either as buttons or dollhouse miniatures.

There are many pieces in the set and they are so well made!  Look how tiny they are but they fit nicely with the Calico Critters.

Mrs. Norwood Mouse has graciously accepted to show you what the set would look like in her kitchen :)

One lucky winner will get one un-opened bag!  Just leave a comment below and follow my blog :)   A link on your blog would be appreciated but it's not compulsory to win the prize.

The deadline is Friday, November 8 at midnight CET!

There will be more Christmas miniature giveaways this month so if you don't win this time, you'll get another chance!  Good luck to all :)

October Already!

October already!!! The weather is still very hot here but it's more manageable!  I still didn't feel brave enough to venture outside for a walk yet so I stayed home yesterday afternoon baking little salted caramel apple hand pies.

The recipe was easy and it tasted fantastic... but I was short on time and as soon as I finished baking, I had to feed baby and didn't take a picture of the pies.  When I finally had time, all the pies were gone.  I guess they were good enough ^_^

I never bake anything so this was something fun to experience.  You can find the recipe HERE.  I learned about it thanks to MijBil Creatures!  It's good I didn't take any pictures of my mini pies because they would look really sad compared to her beautiful pies LOL

After all that baking, I was tired tired tired (probably too much kneading that dough).  I went to bed and suddenly remembered the Miniature Takoyaki Giveaway Contest!  So I got up and cut out pieces of paper for each name, put them in a little bowl, picked one piece of paper...

The winner of the Takoyaki miniature is DANZEL from Silver Shoes and Rabbit Holes :)

This is the second time that Danzel wins one of my giveaway!!! Congrats Danzel :)

If you didn't win, you'll get another chance in October because I am planning another giveaway!  I am not sure yet what the prize will be.  I would like to ask you what you would prefer.

Which one of these items would you like to see in a giveaway?
  1. miniature item for 1:12 dollhouse
  2. clothes for Pullip/Dal/Licca dolls
  3. clothes for Little Dal/Litte Blythe dolls
  4. sleeping bag for Mini Lalaloopsy/Strawberry Shortcake dolls

Please let me know if you have another idea for me to include in my giveaway :)

Orcara - Street Snacks and Giveaway

Today I will be showing you another Orcara Miniature Collection: The Snack Shops / Street Snacks Collection!   It has many items that are popular street food in East Asia.  As usual, they are highly details and have all kind of cool inserts you can remove from the containers.

Bubble Tea
If you haven't tried Bubble Tea or Tapioca Tea, you should! It's so yummy!

Fruit Smoothie

BBQ Skewers

Hot Dogs

Soda Dispenser

Popcorn Machine

Beef Offal
I am not a fan of beef tripe so I'll pass on this LOL

Takoyaki
I was super excited to get this set because takoyaki is one of my favorite Japanese snack food!  It's basically little chunks of octopus in a ball of dough (chewy in the inside, crunchy on the outside).

This is also the GIVEAWAY PRIZE!!!

This is what a full-size takoyaki pan looks like (it's my own).

A few months ago, I posted on Instagram the first batch of takoyaki I made with that pan :)  It turned out just fine and super yummy delicious!

If you have never tried Takoyaki, you are missing out!  It's seriously the most awesome street food ever!  If you want to learn how to make them, you can rely on the very instructive video below  :)   They show the right ingredients and steps.  Or you can do like me and save a few steps by buying an already prepared batter!

To win the miniature Orcara miniature tayokaki set, please follow my blog and leave a comment to this post.  You can link this post in your blog but it's not necessary.

The photo I show you above is my own open set but the winner will receive a brand new set within the sealed bag.   The deadline is September 30th, 2013 at midnight CET.

Good luck to everybody :)

EDIT: THE GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED! THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING!

Monday, September 23, 2013

And the winner is...

I would like to thank you everybody for participating in my miniature giveaway!  Welcome to my new followers and thank you to my regular followers for commenting :)  I wished I could give to each of you the prize but there can be only one winner... and it is:

*** DRORA from Drora's Minimundo ***

Congratulations Drora, you win the Orcara miniature meal below!
Please email me your address at mabebecherie@gmail.com.

My nephews are always excited to have the right to draw the name out and it was Ben who did it this time :) I had planned to make a nice photoshoot of the name draw but because of my home being flooded, it was impossible to do.

I had quite a busy weekend due to my living room being flooded after a thunderstorm that lasted all night.  Usually I don't have such a problem unless it rains all night which it did this time.

So hubby had to move all the furniture from the living room into the other rooms and I had to empty all my bookshelves, craft table and toy area.  The floor didn't sustain too much damage so we didn't have to make any repairs inside ... the outside is another story.  We'll have to pour some cement to secure the place from future flooding.

But on the upside, I had the opportunity to re-organize my shelves and while it wasn't planned, it was still a welcomed activity!  I couldn't take any pictures or write on my blog because of this but oh well, it is a good preparation for my future projects :)

I will post about another miniature giveaway this week!  So if you didn't win this time, you might have a chance again.  The next giveaway is another Orcara miniature but the theme will be Japanese :)

Have a good week everybody!

Storage for Little Dal Dolls

It has been a difficult week for me.  Not much sleep due to my cold and struggling to finish my tasks at work.  I am happy it's Friday!  But there is really no rest for me as it will be a busy weekend: dance practice, birthday party, organizing fall clothes...and it goes on.  But it's good to stay home with my kids and spend time with them anyway!  I haven't been able to complete many projects I had planned for my dolls but I did find a storage box for my Little Dal Dolls!

I have been looking for a box to store my Little Dal dolls so they won't get dusty.   I don't like to store my dolls in plastic containers because I noticed they pick up a musty and chemical scent when I leave them in there.   So I looked for a wood container and I found this darling little drawer chest at Michael's Craft Store.  It was only $2 dollars after I used the store's weekly 40% coupon!

Lady Vixy and Princess Tulip: "You want us to do what?"
Lady Vixy: "It's OK, it's not going to be forever! She'll take you out soon!"
Princess Tulip: "I feel like Jessie in Toy Story!"
Princess Tulip fits just right!
It can fit two dolls.
And you can store the little hats and clothes in the upper compartments.

I  plan on decorating/painting the box eventually but that will be for another time :)

I hope I will feel better soon and the cooler weather is already helping!  don't know about you but I look forward to the cold season! I love September and to make it even better, there are so many giveaway contests this month:

Halloween giveaway at MijBil Creatures
Miniature giveaway at Villa Pulgarcito
Fabric giveaway at Sarah Jane Studios
Beautiful handmade hare at Millefeuilles

And don't forget there is still time to enter my Orcara Miniature Giveaway :)

Have a great weekend y'all!

Orcara - Fast Food

I am continuing today my blog posts about Orcara miniatures.  This time, it is about the Fast Food Collection! These miniatures are fascinating in realism and cuteness!   They are 8 sets in this collection and as usual, you can buy the whole set if you want to have them all.  I did not take pictures of the food outside of their containers because I had very little time yesterday and I wanted to get this giveaway starting :)

View of the front of the box

View of the back of the box

View of the boxed complete collection

Mega Bucket
All the food shown below are individual pieces O_O
(you can remove the lid from the bucket but not from the bottle)
Chicken Wings & Wrap
The smoothie drink is an insert you can remove and so is the straw.
Double Cheeseburger
I love the tiny ketchup pouch!

Kiddy Set Meal
This kid's meal even has a toy (a little lady bug which I left in its bag)!
Italian Pizza Meal
Soup & Pasta
Hainan Chicken

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST:
Pork Chops & Rice
I love this set!!! This is the GIVEAWAY prize :)

This set is really fabulous! You can remove the food and smoothie from the containers! The shape and white color of the dish remind me of airplane in-flight meals!   I think Licca-chan agrees ^_^

The set you see above is opened but I have another set unopened and sealed in it's original plastic bag.

All you need to do is follow my blog and leave a comment in this post.   It's not required but it would be nice if you could post a link of this giveaway on your blog :)  The deadline is September 20th, 2013 at midnight CET.

I have a second giveaway this month so you'll have another chance to win some awesome food miniatures!  Good luck to all!

EDIT: THE GIVEAWAY CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED! THANK YOU EVERYBODY FOR PARTICIPATNG!
